LYON and PEROUGES as your destination
Lyon, second largest French city and the capital of Rhône-Alps. Named Lugdunum by the Romans at its foundation as the capital of the Gauls in 43 B.C, Lyon has witnessed for over 2000 years a rich cultural history and is currently home of 24 exceptional Museums and the site of multiple cultural events. The city, renown as the historical capital of silk related industries, has also been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Pérouges medieval village, in the immediate vicinity, is a perfect one-day excursion from Lyon.
