Day 1 - Paris.
Upon arrival, (usually in the morning) city tour on the way to the hotel to arrive at check in time at your hotel. (4 stars, next to Louvre Museum). Settling at the hotel and free time for lunch.
Afternoon, orientation walking tour in hotel area. (Tuileries gardens, Concorde Square, Opera, Palais Royal Park, Seine River).
Welcome dinner in nearby gourmet restaurant.
Overnight Hotel Regina or du Louvre.

Day 2 - Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of the Louvre.
Lunch at leisure. Afternoon Seine Cruise allowing you to hop in / hop out at any of 6 stops. (Louvre, Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower, Orsay Museum, St Germain des Pres, Notre Dame, City Hall).
Dinner at leisure.
Overnight Hotel Regina or du Louvre.

Day 3 - Paris.
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of Versailles.
Lunch at leisure. Afternoon at leisure for shopping, Museums, optional excursions.
Dinner at typical restaurant " Nos Ancetres les Gaulois".

Day 4 - Paris - Normandy.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Normandy. Stop in Giverny for tour of Monet's house and gardens.
Lunch at leisure in quaint fishermen's harbor of Honfleur, once an Impressionists "hang out". Tour of WWII Memorial Museum in Caen which provides a fascinating lesson on contemporary History and D Day's Landing.
Gourmet Dinner and overnight at Chateau de Sully, an 18th century chateau, next to Bayeux.

Day 5 - Normandy.
Breakfast at the chateau. Tour of landing beaches: Pointe du Hoc, American cemetery at Omaha Beach, German gun batteries.
Lunch at leisure in Bayeux. Afternoon tour of Bayeux tapestry, an 11th century "cartoon" embroidery relating the invasion of England by William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy.
Gourmet dinner at Restaurant Le Lion D'or in Bayeux.
Overnight at Chateau de Sully.

Day 6- Mont St. Michel.
Breakfast at the chateau. Tour of pewter and copper traditional foundries, in Villedieu les Poelles, on the way to Mont St Michel.
Lunch at leisure. Tour of Mont St Michel: the abbey goes back to the 8th century, when archangel St Michael appeared to Bishop Aubert. It has been a pilgrimage center since then. The" Marvel" is a group of buildings, perched on the top of the mount including the church, cloister, refectory, guest halls, as well as the underground churches used as a base for these buildings. Time for shopping along the narrow medieval Main Street.
Gourmet Dinner and overnight at typical regional Chateau of Bonaban.

Day 7- Brittany.
Breakfast at the Chateau. Morning tour of Dinan a medieval town with traditional craftsmen.
Lunch at leisure. Cruise along the Rance River to St Malo's privateers walled harbor. Tour of town by little touristic train, and free time for shopping.
Dinner at Dinard's casino.
Overnight at Chateau de Bonaban.

Day 8 - Loire Valley.
Breakfast at the chateau. On to the Loire Valley. Visit of Langeais's medieval castle, unique as it still has period furniture.
Lunch at leisure. Tour of Renaissance castle of Azay and formal French gardens of Villandry.
Gourmet dinner and overnight at Hotel de l'Univers, a traditional classic hotel in the center of Tours.

Day 9 - Loire Valley.
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of Chenonceau's castle, built over the Cher River.
Lunch at leisure. Stop in Vouvray for wine cellar tour and wine tasting. Walking tour of medieval " Tours" and free time for shopping. Dinner at "troglodyte" ( dug into the cliff cellars) restaurant " La Cave", just outside of Tours.
Overnight at Hotel de L'Univers.

Day 10 - Dordogne.
Breakfast at the hotel. On to Dordogne. Tour of Lascaux II, exact copy of the prehistoric cave of Lascaux, the original being closed to preserve the paintings.
Lunch at leisure. Tour of original prehistoric cave of Font de Gaume, with its unique 15,000 years old wall paintings. Walking tour of Sarlat medieval town. Gourmet dinner and overnight at Hotel de la Madeleine, a classic traditional hotel, next to the medieval town.

Day 11 - Dordogne, Languedoc.
Breakfast at the hotel. On to Rocamadour, a pilgrimage city built off the cliff. Lunch at leisure en route to Albi. Tour of Toulouse Lautrec Museum in Albi 's former archbishop palace.
Gourmet dinner and overnight at private Chateau de Garrevaques, hosted by the owners, Mme Barande and her daughter, Marie Christine Combes.

Day 12 - Languedoc, Provence.
Breakfast at the chateau. Morning tour of Revel's traditional country market. Stop in Durfort, a village with traditional craftsmen shops (leather, wrought iron, copper, pewter, hand blown glasses&ldots;). Tour of " Marqueterie", traditional wood furniture factory.
Lunch at leisure. Tour of Carcassonne, the oldest inhabited European medieval walled town. On to Provence. Gourmet dinner and overnight in charming historical deluxe inn "Marie d'Agoult", in the countryside, West of Avignon.

Day 13 - Provence.
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of Avignon and palace of the Popes. Lunch at leisure. Free time for shopping.
Tour of Roman and medieval Arles. Laser show at Pont du Gard Roman Aqueduct site.
Gourmet dinner and overnight at "Marie d'Agoult".

Day 14 - Provence.
Breakfast at the hotel. Market day in St Remy. Tour of Les Baux, a scenic ghost town, perched on a plateau dominating the whole region.
Lunch at leisure. On to Aix en Provence for historical city tour and visit of Cezanne's studio.
Gourmet dinner and overnight at Hotel Le Pigeonnet, a classic traditional hotel, ½ mile from city center of Aix en Provence.

Day 15 - Provence, Riviera.
Breakfast at the hotel. Stop in St Tropez for free time and lunch at leisure. Afternoon tour of Grasse perfume factory and St Paul de Vence.
Gourmet dinner and overnight at Hotel West End, a traditional turn of the century 4-star, facing the "Bay of Angels" in Nice.

Day 16- Riviera.
Breakfast at the hotel. Touristic train tour of Nice with free time at flower market.
Stop in Eze Village for lunch at leisure on the way to Monaco. Tour of Monaco. Back to hotel to change. Gourmet farewell dinner in dreamlike medieval Inn Auberge de la Vignette Haute, in the back country of Cannes.
Overnight at Hotel West End.

Day 17 - Riviera, Home.
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Nice Airport for flight back home.

Day 1 - Paris, Provence.
Upon arrival in Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, connection with TGV bullet train to Avignon. Tour of Palace of the Popes. On to Chateau de Vergieres, a traditional private Chateau, in the heart of Provence.
Gourmet dinner and overnight at Chateau de Vergieres.

Day 2 - Provence, Cooking Class.
Breakfast at the chateau. On to Isle Sur Sorgue for Antique Market day.
Lunch at leisure. Afternoon "hands on" cooking class by Marie Andree Pincede in Chateau de Vergieres, with traditional Provence family recipes.
Dinner with your prepared meal and overnight at Chateau de Vergieres.

Day 3 - Provence, Cooking Class.
Breakfast at the chateau. Tour of Roman and Romanesque Arles.
Lunch at leisure. Afternoon " hands on" cooking class at chateau de Vergieres. Dinner with your prepared meal and overnight at Chateau de Vergieres.

Day 4 - Provence.
Breakfast at the chateau. Morning tour of Les Baux, ghost town on a perched plateau overlooking the whole region.

Day 5 - Provence.

Day 7 - Riviera.

Day 1 - Riviera.
Upon arrival in Nice, excursion to St Paul de Vence, one of the nicest hill village of the Nice Hinterland. From the 16th century ramparts, you will have a view over a landscape of cypress trees and red roofed villas with palm trees and pools. This is the best introduction to the French Riviera with an environment of winding narrow streets and medieval buildings. Touristic train tour in Nice and transfer to Hotel West End, a 4-star hotel, centrally located, next to the beach.
Gourmet Dinner at Beach restaurant of the hotel.
Overnight at Hotel West End.

Day 2 - Riviera.
Breakfast at the hotel. Tour of typical flower and vegetable market on Cours Saleya, in Nice. Free time for shopping in the old town.
Lunch at leisure. Tour of beautiful fortified perched village of Eze, overlooking the Mediterranean sea. It was originally built to withstand the Saracen pirates who plagued the coast in the 6th century. On to Monte Carlo, through the Moyenne Corniche, one of the most scenic highway in the world. Tour of the old town (Palace, Fort Antoine, Neo-Romanesque Cathedral), with its medieval streets. Touristic train tour, including stop at the Casino.

Day 3 - Provence, Royal Viking Rhone River Cruise Ship.
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of Luberon and its country markets. Stop in Gordes, one of the most scenic French Riviera perched village.

Embarkation on your luxurious river ship " Royal Viking".

Day 4 - Cruise, Provence.
Breakfast aboard. Morning excursion to Les Baux and Arles. Les Baux is a medieval fortress overlooking the valley. The village leading to the plateau is one of this cute Renaissance hilltop town. Few other towns in Provence combine all the region's charms as well as Arles. Spreading out along the Rhone river bank, it is a town of Roman arena and theater as well as medieval cloisters. It is also the bastion of Provencal tradition and culture. Van Gogh stayed here in 1888.
Afternoon excursion to Camargue, a natural park in the estuary of the Rhone river, populated with pink flamingoes,wild horses and bulls.
Dinner and overnight aboard.

Day 5 - Cruise, Provence.
Breakfast aboard. Morning optional excursion to Avignon.
Lunch aboard and cruising along the beautiful Provence landscape.

Day 6 - Cruise, Ardeche.

Breakfast aboard. Excursion to Vienne, with its roman town. One of the richest town in Roman monuments, with a theater seating 13,000 spectators, it has also its share of medieval monuments like the St Maurice cathedral.

Day 8 - Cruise, Burgundy.
Breakfast aboard. City tour of Lyon, France's second city, dramatically built on the banks of Saone and Rhone rivers. It has been a vital gateway between North and South since ancient times. Renaissance old town and also some of the best restaurants in France. Afternoon cruising lower Burgundy.
Dinner and overnight aboard (Macon).

Day 9 - Cruise, Burgundy.
Breakfast aboard, cruising along the Burgundy vineyards. Arrival in Chalons sur Saone. Excursion to Beaune and Burgundy vineyards. The old center of Beaune snug within its ramparts, and encircling boulevards, is easy to explore on foot. Its indisputable treasure is the Hotel Dieu, built in Flemish style in the 14th-16th centuries. Tour of Burgundy wine museum.

Day 10 - Burgundy, Versailles, Paris.
Breakfast aboard. Disembarkation in Chalons Sur Saone. Visit of vineyards, winery and wine tasting. Lunch at leisure. Tour of Royal castle of Versailles, a magnificent reminder of the French Kings' way of life. Installation at hotel Regina, a 4-star traditional hotel, next to the Louvre, in Paris.
