  Day 1: Bordeaux. (Medoc wine region)

Morning car pick up at Bordeaux railroad station or airport. On to hotel Etche Ona, next to Grand Theater. (15 minutes from railroad station and 35 minutes from airport. Park in underground parking. Drop off your luggage at hotel. Take walking tour of city (1h30) from tourist office next to Grand Theater. Lunch at leisure. On with your car along wine route of Medoc region, northwest of the city: Margaux (35 minutes). Stop for tour (40 minutes). On to Pauillac (15 minutes). Stop at Producers center and Museum (30minutes). On to Mouton Rothschild (10 minutes) for tour and wine tasting (1h).
Back to Bordeaux (1h15). Dinner at leasure. Overnight Hotel Etche Ona in a traditional Bordeaux 18th century building.
 
 

  Day 2: Bordeaux, St Emilion.

Breakfast at the hotel. Suggested departure time: 10:00am.On to Chateau Grand Barrail (1h20) to drop off your luggage. On to Saint Emilion (20 minutes). Park on the parking on the top of city. Free time for lunch. Take little excursion train tour of vineyards and city (1h). Visit the underground church hollowed out of a single rock in the limestone strata. Free time for wine tasting and shopping. Dinner at leasure and overnight at Chateau Grand Barrail, a traditional wine chateau hotel (20 minutes from town).
 
  Day 3: St Emilion, Dordogne. (Les Eyzies, Sarlat)

Breakfast at the Château. Suggested departure: 10am.On to Les Eyzies, prehistoric capital city of France. (2h). Lunch at leisure. Tour of Font de Gaume Prehistoric painted cave (1h). Tour of Prehistory Museum (1h). On to Sarlat (30 minutes). Walking tour of this medieval town with guide from tourist office (1h). On to Domaine de Rochebois, Renaissance castle hotel. (15 minutes). Dinner at leasure. Overnight Rochebois.

  Day 4: Dordogne. (Lascaux, Domme, Beynac)

Breakfast at the château. Suggested departure time: 9:30am.On to Lascaux (45 minutes).
Tour of Lascaux II, exact replica of prehistoric cavern. (1h). On to Domme (1h15). Lunch at leisure in this hilltop village. Grand tour with little excursion train (1h). On to Beynac (35 minutes). Tour of medieval castle (1h15). back to Chateau de Rochebois (20 minutes). Dinner at leasure and overnight.
 

Day 5: Dordogne, Midi Pyrenees. (Rocamadour, Cahors, St Cirq la Popie, Figeac)

Breakfast at the château. Suggested departure time: 9:30am.On to Rocamadour (1h15). Park at parking on top of city and take elevator down. Tour of medieval pilgrimage sanctuaries built off the cliff in a dramatic setting (45 minutes). Lunch at leisure. . On to Cahors (1h). Stop (1h) to stroll through medieval streets and take a picture of the six arches famous Valentre Bridge. On to Saint Car la Potpie (30 minutes). Tour of this medieval town built over a cliff (1h). On to Figeac (30 minutes). Dinner at leasure. Overnight at exceptional medieval town mansion Viguier du Roy.
 
 

   Day 6: Midi Pyrenees. (Conques, Albi)

Breakfast at the hotel. Suggested departure time: 9am.On to Conques medieval town (30 minutes). Tour of city and exceptional monastery’s cloister and church. (1h). Lunch at leasure. On to Albi (1h15). Tour of Toulouse Lautrec Museum who was a native from this town. (1h30) And of fortifies pink stone Basilica (35 minutes). On to Garrevaques (1h) for dinner with wines and overnight at private Chateau Garrevaques. 
 
 

Day 7: Midi Pyrenees. (Carcassonne)

Breakfast at the château. Suggested departure time: 10am.On through scenic mountain road to Carcassonne (1h15). Tour of chateau (1h). Lunch at leisure. Free time in this town, which is the oldest, inhabited medieval walled town in Europe. Dinner at leasure and Overnight at Medieval Hotel de la Cite, overlooking the walled town.
 
 

  Day 8: Midi Pyrenees. (Toulouse)

Breakfast at the hotel. Suggested departure time: 10am.1 h drive to Toulouse, the pink city. Walking tour of the city including St Sernin’s Basilica. (1h30). Lunch at leasure.

On to airport or railroad station for return of the car.
