Day 1: Provence. (Saint Remy, Les Baux)

Morning car pick up at Avignon railroad station or Marseille airport. Drop off your luggage at Luxury Traditional Mansion hotel" Vallon de Valruges", in Saint Remy. (1h15 from Marseille and 30 minutes from Avignon). If Wednesday morning stroll through Saint Remy’s market. Lunch at leisure. On to Les Baux (15 minutes drive), with stop en route at Roman monuments outside of St Remy (10minutes stop). Tour of medieval Les Baux village and ghost castle built on a spur overlooking the whole region (1h30). Stop at psychiatric hospital Museum, outside of St Remy (10 minutes drive), where Van Gogh stayed for one year creating some of its best paintings (1h). Back to Vallon de Valruges (10minutes) dinner at leasure and Overnight.
 

Day 2: Provence.Arles, Avignon,Gordes.

Breakfast at Vallon de Valruges.Suggested departure time:10:00am.On to Arles (30minutes) .Take little excursion train for tour of town and roman arenas (1h30).lunch at leisure. On to Avignon (45 minutes).Tour of Palace of the Popes (1h15).Take little excursion train ,in front of the palace, for tour of city (1h).On to Gordes ( 1h) for tour of medieval town with its arcades and vaulted streets.(1h).Installation, just outside of Gordes at Deluxe Unique Hotel Les Bories ( Named after the traditional stone shepherd houses from this area). Dinner at leasure and overnight at Les Bories.
 
Day 3: Provence.Luberon perched villages,Aix.

Breakfast at Les Bories .Suggested departure time from Gordes: 11.00 am.

On through scenic road to Roussillon ( 20 minutes), stunning hilltop village built with inviting deep ochre.( pink colors).Lunch at leisure( le bistro de Roussillon).On to Menerbes (15 minutes), a 16^th century village ,which current life was described by Peter Mayle in his Year in Provence Book. On to Lacoste ( 10 minutes) where you will see the ruins of Marquis de Sade’s castle.

On to Bonnieux( 10 minutes)where you might want to pay a visit to the bread making Museum. On to Lourmarin(15 minutes)where the countess d’Agoult bore Franz Liszt 3 children, one marrying Richard Wagner. On to Abbaye de Silvacane(10minutes) for tour of this 12^th century Monastery. On to Aix (45 minutes) for dinner at leasure and overnight at Traditional chateau hotel de la Pioline.

Day 4: Provence, Riviera.(Aix ,Marseille,Cassis inlets, Le Lavandou)

Breakfast at Chateau de la Pioline.Walking tour of Aix "on the trail of Cézanne"(1h15).On to Marseille (1h) .Drive through this beautiful city along the old harbor and going through the tunnel towards east to Cassis (45 minutes).Take Cassis exit. Seafood lunch at leisure. Boat excursion from Cassis harbor to 3 inlets (1h15).On to Toulon harbor by the toll way (45 minutes) then on along the coastal scenic road to the Lavandou resort town (1h30).
Dinner at leasure and overnight at BAILLI DE SUFFREN.

  Day 5: Riviera.(Bormes les Mimosas,St Tropez,Cannes back country).

Breakfast at Les Roches.Morning at the beach. Suggested departure:11:30am.Backtrack for 20 minutes to beautiful ‘Bormes les Mimosas". Free time for lunch. On to St Tropez ( 1h20).Park by the harbor.1h 30 harbor and city tour. On along the coast to Frejus (1h), where you take the toll way to Cannes (40 minutes) and get to Unique medieval farmhouse Auberge de la Vignette Haute,south of Grasse(1h 15) which restaurant is lit with medieval oil lamps. Dinner at leasure. Overnight Auberge de la Vignette Haute.

Day 6: Riviera.(Grasse,Saint Paul de Vence,Monaco)

Breakfast at the auberge.Suggested departure time:9:30am.On to Grasse ( 15inutes).Tour of perfume factory.(1h). On to Saint Paul de Vence (1h) through scenic mountain road. Lunch at leisure and tour of medieval town or Maeght Foundation(1h).On to toll road prior to Nice (30 minutes) and 30 minutes drive east to Monaco. Park in parking under the old Monaco and take elevator up. Take little excursion train for tour of Monaco and Monte Carlo with stop at casino.(1h30).Take freeway back to Auberge de la Vignette Haute.(1h30).Dinner at leasure and overnight at Auberge de la Vignette Haute.

Day 7: Riviera.

Breakfast at the hotel.Car drop off at Nice railroad station or airport(1h15)
